Thanks to its integrated variable frequency sonic system, LUCILLA promises to keep mosquitoes away within a radius of 3 meters outdoors, and inside a medium-sized room. The integrated variable frequency sonic system was created in collaboration with Light-Cube, a natural spin-off ofUniversity of Padua.
The use of the integrated sonic system is absolutely harmless and not annoying for humans and pets. In fact, working at low frequency, it reproduces the vibrations of the wing beats of the male mosquito, which notoriously are not at all appreciated by the females (which are the ones that bite). Furthermore, the variable frequency does not allow the insect to get used to it and this makes its effectiveness unchanged over time.
While acknowledging that the most striking novelty is this very important function, LUCILLA it also surprises for other features that make it truly unique.
Il magnetic attachment system of the upper light diffuser (optional) allows the user to fix it with a simple click (it also works without the diffuser), so as to be able to customize the lamp as he sees fit, whether it is to use it outdoors or indoors .
Another powerful magnet placed on the base and an adhesive metal disc (supplied) makes it safe against accidental falls, caused for example by a jolt in a boat or camper while travelling.
Le light functions di Lucilla I'm certainly no less. 14W of power, 2 RGB+White Light touch switches (modular), charge duration up to 10 hours, recharge time 3/4 hours.
“So far, we have always developed ideas and projects for our customers. With Lucilla we decided to take the path of crowdfunding – explains the product designer Mauro Bertoldini - perhaps a more complicated road, but which can also give great satisfaction. We like challenges, and this idea was born almost by chance during an excursion made with a colleague and friend in which we were literally attacked by mosquitoes, and we asked ourselves 'why not work on this?' and design a powerful, safe, and efficient lamp that succeeds in finally making us free from these annoying and dangerous insects. Then we integrated, up Lucilla, all the best you could wish for from a portable lamp, you can use it as you wish and take it everywhere. Now we count on people's interest to help us complete this project in which we have put a lot of effort and resources. With Lucilla we have achieved the satisfaction of having designed the (almost) perfect lamp. Also because, in our opinion, absolute perfection does not exist" concludes Bertoldini.
