How to delete the legend in the Microsoft Project Gantt printout

Microsoft Project has a large selection of pre reportsdefinites, with the possibility of customizing existing reports or creating new ones, with simplicity and flexibility. However, the printing of the Gantt is an essential necessity for every Project Manager, let's see how to exclude the legency from printing.

So let's see two valuable suggestions to improve the readability of the Gantt by excluding the legend, in the standard printing of Microsoft Project.

The legend, while being very useful for understanding the type of Gantt bars, is rather "invasive", in the sense that it steals a lot of space from the Gantt chart on the printed page.

However, we have the possibility to change its appearance or even hide it from the press.

Let's see how it's done.

From the menu Fillet select Print to get the following display:

We click on (1) Set page to call up the window Page Setup - Gantt Chart. From here we activate the panel (2) Description to display the options (3) of the legend itself.

The three options allow us to;

• Print the legend on each page (it is the default)
• Obtain a page (the last one printed) showing the meaning of the Gantt bars
• No print

For the topic of this simple article we choose the last item.

The final result will be this:
