ICT technologies in agriculture: call for tenders for more transparent and digital agri-food systems

ICT-AGRI-FOOD has published a joint announcement  is preferably used for  transparency of the  agri-food systems for consumers and other relevant actors and for the adoption of ICT technologies in the field.

The call aims to develop systems that are efficient, inclusive, transparent and fair through a multidisciplinary approach e transnational based on digital technologies, respecting sustainability and considering the effects during the production chain.

The proposed actions will have to support the sustainabilitytransparency andefficiency the traceability of products and processes of agricultural enterprises and agri-food industries, as well as increasing the capacity of political authorities and control in the monitoring the performance of the various phases by proposing new economic solutions in line with market demands. Three are the thematic areas provided:

  • Agri-food systems enabled by interconnected digital technologies that are more transparent for consumers, farmers and other stakeholders along the agri-food value chain
  • Identify, address and remove the barriers for the adoption of ICT technologies in agri-food systems
  • Development and impact assessment (if possible, evaluation) of data-based reward and incentive systems to support sustainable and resilient agricultural management practices

They can participate academic and research bodies e SMEs of the agri-food industry gathered in consortia di minimum 3 partners from 3 Countries participants in the ICT-AGRI-FOOD ERA-NET Cofund.

Total available funds are 8 million 380 thousand euros and will be assigned directly by Financing bodies of the 19 participating States to their respective national bodies.

The deadline for submitting applications is 26 September 2022 (deadline postponed compared to the one initially scheduled for August 15th).
